If you've ever watched Siskel and Ebert or I guess it is Ebert and Roper or some such thing now, then you know they had an occasional segment called "guilty pleasures" which means movies which were probably not very good, but that you enjoyed a lot anyhow, kind of lowbrow, good fun sort of stuff, or something that is so bad that it is hilarious.
My choice for Guilty Pleasure of the month is (drum roll):
HERBIE FULLY LOADED
It's a heartwarming tale of the relationship between a 1963 VW Bug, and an All-American girl.
Herbie plays the Bug, and Lindsay Lohan of the girl. Even though she doesn't wear a bikini in even one scene and all you get to see of her awesome boobs is them bouncing around underneath her tight tees, she is still awesome cute/sexy and lots of fun in this flick!
This movie will never get nominated for anything unless they start a best compact car in a supporting role category. It will not change your life, provoke deep thoughts, or keep you awake at night(unless you are hard from thinking of Lindsay, IWC you know what to do about that). The plot is total cliche, i.e, good car gets girl. And, yes, it has a happy ending, of course, and some ridiculous street racing and stock car racing scenes(no chase scenes, Thank God!)
But it is great light-hearted fun. Lindsay is yummy sexy, and Matt Diilon plays a great bad guy, that you want to see get his due from Lindsay, but that you can't really hate, cause he is funny and you know that in the end he doesn't stand a chance against our heroine's sexy, pre-starvaton diet, voluptuous chutzpah!
For a good laugh, get fully loaded and go see Herbie!!
JayBee
P.S. Seems like a good date movie. I'd love to take a BG to see this one!
