Hello everyone! It is my first post here...so be gentle.

I am a 30 year old woman traveling alone to Phuket for the first time. I am trying to figure out where to stay, what to do, where to eat, how to make it alone, etc. I have traveled to other beach type places alone but never to one so "interesting".

How strange will I be perceived if I go into a bar alone? When I booked my trip, I had no idea how "liberated" this place was...and now I'm a little apprehensive. What should I expect?
