In its basic form a health forum could be good. However, one of the greatest dangers is a self diagnosis followed by self treatment after taking some well meaning advice.
Unless you are a healthcare professional any advice given can, at best, be well meaning but open to interpretation. The prime example of this is the use of antibiotics. The body actually can build up a resistance and unless the use is well controlled can cause an increased risk of side effects and in some cases death.
There are many sites on the net where specialist advice can be sought but they always carry the warning that you should consult your GP.
Even some well known herbal remedies react badly with other medication(ie St Johns Wort".
What works for one person may cause an adverse reaction in another.
General advice re adresses of clinics, liver transplants etc is ok but healthcare is best left to those qualified to give it.
