From BBC News:
Quote:
The campaign to Clear JayBee's Message box is gaining momentum as world leaders, under pressure from international aid organizations and the media, take up the call to Clear JayBee's Message Box.
United nations Secretary General, Kofi Annan, is chairing an emergency session of the Security Council and it is expected that a resolution requiring JayBee to clear his storage will be issued very soon. In the mean time sanctions are expected to be imposed restricting the export of condoms and massage services to JayBee. JayBee's oil exports are expected to be exempted from sanctions for humanitarian reasons.
Mr Ying Tong, a senior Minister in the Thai Ministry of Finance, said "This could be disastrous for the Thai economy. Many Thai women are completely dependant upon JayBee not just for income but for exercise too. Thousands of women are just lying listlessly around Patong, uncertain of whether supplies of JayBee will be restored."
US Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeldt, stated that the US has no 'immediate plans' to invade JayBee, and the two carrier battle groups currently taking up station off the north coast of JayBee were simply there for a courtesy visit and 'maybe some light recreational bombing'.
US President George Bush has stated that he doesn't believe JayBee exists, there is no evidence for JayBee and any question of JayBee should be addressed with technology and not put the US economy at risk. Certainly, Mr Bush continued, he never spent that night with JayBee in a Bangkok hotel and, thank you, yes, he can now walk normally once more.
One thing is certain, if contact with JayBee is not re-established soon a large force of UN peace-keepers will have to be drafted into Patong to restore order and service BG needs.
