Horrible, nasty film. Blood and guts, way over the top bloody nasty surrealism. Very twisted movie.

Some hokey theme about the the average guy who looks like a guerilla smashing up nasty bad guys into bloody little pieces, because he is the good guy who is going to die in the end because the world is against him and he is a throwback from another time when men were honorable. Because he is an honorable guy trying to stick up for babes like Jessica Alba, who wants to get in his pants, therefore that gives him the right to make mincemeat out of who ever looks at him the wrong way.

The heroes are doomed because the world is a big plot against average, honorable, musclebound guys who just want to do the right thing by crushing and mutilating bad guys. The villains are ultravillainous, evil, perverts who deserve to be tortured and die, and get what they deserve in the end.

The hero also refrains banging Jessica because she is like a daughter to him, and he doesn't seem to totally appreciate that if a girl has a father-figure complex, then why look a gift-horse in the mouth!!! But it goes back to the honor thing. OK to mutilate bad guys, but not OK to bang girls half your age who look up to you.

And the whole thing about the ****** syndicate of black-belt martial arts kung fu ******s who control the city. Wow!! You gotta luv that!

This is a movie that says it is OK to express your frustration through acts of horrible mayhem and murder, but only if you are a big, tough ugly good guy, who has no self-conrol whatsoever, and doesn't understand why the cards are stacked against him. A tragedy of Greek proportions without the hubris factor.

In summation, I really enjoyed this movie! NOT!! Yes, I really did! No.., I was just saying that. It's a really sick, sick movie. Which is why I liked it. NOT.

OK, I liked some of it, and it is worth seeing, just for Jessica Alba, if for no other reason. There's tons of action. And the kung fu ****** Mafia girls. But don't take your mother. Or your GF, unless she is a really hardcore nasty girl, or an avant garde psycho artsy chick who can see the deeper meaning thorugh all the gore and mayhem, all for the sake of art, and who appreciates deep stuff about honor and the crisis of alienation in modern society, which we all face, even if we aren't big ugly King Kong men.

Therefore, I give it one thumb up , one thumb down!

Just the same, it left a bad taste in my mouth. I was uninspired. Instead you should go see Lindsay Lohan in Herbie Fully Loaded, if you have a regular GF or are dating your mother! But if you are frustrated, alone, and full of rage against a world that is conspiring against you, and you love ultraviolent movies, then, by all means, this is THE movie for you!

P.S. This must have been based on a dark comic book. Right?
