I have stayed in Devaana, and it is not girl friendly in the true sense; however if you register two people as staying, and talk nicely to the security guards, I never had a problem.

It is a nice enough hotel, a little far from the action, but if you walk to the end of the road (5 minutes or less) there is a rank of motorcycle taxis and tuk tuks.

What kind of room and in which wing are you getting that price for? Best rooms are in spa wing, and if you get one on griund floor you have your own hot tub.

Its quite a hike to the beach, but as mentioned before motorcycle taxis are available.
