The
Maya Patong Inn was, before the tsunami, very friendly. A family run boutique hotel it had just opened and I was fleeing the truly awful (old) Victoria Guesthouse. Rooms not big but well and newly fitted out and very friendly staff. Only the ground floor (no rooms down there just reception) was wrecked by the waves, so should be back in business. Noit cheap but GF (one at a time, ID at reception). Downside: The breakfast was awful (ham was green!).
Couldn't email them when I was booking this time, so will be at CNN.
