As I said earlier, I can only assume they use buses to connect transfer passengers between the 2 terminals, otherwise passengers would have to go through Immigration etc.

you dont go to the Domestic terminal. You drive with the bus from the International terminal direct to the airplane. Than you go into the plane to the rear door.
The Imigration will done than in HKT.
In BKK you get a sticker and in HKT the staff direct you to the Imigration desk.
