Yes, it is still closed "untill further notice". I don't know if they have started to rebuild it, it is so close to the beach that they have maybe some troubles with authorities and the new rules imposed to hotel-bars-restaurants after the tsunami.
Sad, because it was a nice hotel, I have been there 3 times and the staff was friendly.
I have visited Kamala Bay terrace last feb, I have taken some pics there with the permission of the guard. So sad feeling to me
