4 weeks ago when I booked my flights for August, I tried several avenues for TG. to HKT.
Couldn't get a flight for less than £776.00. so I booked with Etihad as I wanted to ensure I got a flight leaving 12th. Aug.
Last week out of curiosity i checked he same sources and came up with offers as low as £560.00 with a selection of flight times.
I could kick myself now for not waiting as i normally would. Still, that's life.
At least with Etihad i stop in Abu Dhabi which is a good place to buy watches & gold jewelry.

That's interesting Ali. But I think your case had to be an exception - I still reckon the rule is nine times out of ten the other way around!

Tell you what, though - I've already bought two tickets for my son and his bride-to-be, to fly Etihad from Heathrow to Abu Dhabi for their honeymoon in December. Off the top of my head, I can't even remember what I paid for them, but I'll have a look. Then I'll make sure to check the price each month and see if it goes up or down, and post any changes on the forum.

One last thing about Etihad flights to BKK via AD - they don't have a Business Class section but they have a thing called Coral Plus. It has all the Business Class benefits - fast track check-in and baggage reclaim, executive lounge at the airport, limo to and from the airport, seating section up the front, better food and drink. The only thing it doesn't have is a big, reclining Business Class seat, although it's still fairly comfortable and it's bigger than the regular one. It costs a bit more than Economy, but a lot less than Business. If you've got a few bob to spare, I reckon it's well worth paying the bit extra!
