Had good luck with the Safari Beach Resort a couple of weeks ago. Right now, they've got a stay 2 nights for the price of 1. Only asked for my girl's ID card once out of 6 nights and still no joiner fee.
Good location: Savoey Seafood Restaurant out front, beach across the street and around the corner from Bangla. Nice pool and amazingly quiet considering the location. The nearby disco thumps until late, but you'll be out until then anyway.
Thanks to a kind BM for suggesting this place. The much more expensive Novotel Resort was not worth the money and far from all that is fun to do in Patong.
