A trip to LOS should be mandatory for every man newly freed from the bonds of matrimony!! It took me over 2 and a half years to get there. Much time wasted!!
When you ask the 100 pounds question, I assume that you were pulling out all the stops, money no object, in your just-conmpleted trip and are wondering what it would really cost if you settled in there for awhile.
Last winter, when I was there for 3 months, there were very few days that I slept alone, and none that I remember where I didn't go out for a few drinks and socializing at the discos. I had a few beauties along the way, but for the most part, I was quite happy with the 1000 Baht/night girls.
I stayed in a nice hotel with a great pool, but nothing fancy, and ate good food in restaurants every day, but not the high class ones where you are paying for the ambience, and decorations, in addition to the food. And although I don't think I went a day without at least a few drinks, I am not a heavy drinker and didn't run up any big bar tabs. I was in Phuket almost the whole time, too, so I didn't do a lot of travelling or sight-seeing.
The bottom line was that I spent an average of only about $75 per day(3000 Baht), not including air fare.
I didn't live like a king, but I had everything I wanted.
100 lbs./day is probably closer to LivinLOS's budget(if he even knows the meaning of the word, "budget"
