I agree with ditz just going for a drink or two is fine as long as we are clear in the first place. Most places BG's don't get a salary from the bar. Instead they get 30-50 baht a drink usually if the drink 120 baht plus; they get half the bar fine (100-150 baht). What we pay directly they keep. If it costs about 7,000 baht a month for a BG to live here (1,500 a month for a shared room; 200 for electricity; 200 for telephone; 3,000 for food; 1,000 for make up/clothes;1,000 for transport) and most need to send home at least another 7,000 a month (usually much more)...that's either 10 drinks a night; or 93 bar fines; or 14 customers every month...Least we can do is tell them whether we are buying or not.
