I agree with what you said about the competition there, and also the restuarants are very good. But I didn't much care for Chaweng, definitely not as nice as Patong.
Check out Lamai. It is a weird, funky, but interesting, kinda laid-back town. I like Lamai. Nice beaches, and loads of BGs there. But the bars are funky and so are the girls. It almost seems like all the girls who weren't good-looking enough to get by in BKK, Pattaya, or Phuket, ended up in Lamai. It is the like the minor leagues of BGs!
There is about 2 good looking girls in the whole town, and, of course, they are always taken. Strangely enough, I really liked Lamai, in spite of it all! The girl I hooked up with there was not very good looking, but she was sexy, and always fun to be with. Really, she had the best attitude of any girl I've ever been with, BG, TG or farang girl!!
