Cannot advise whether you should or should not send money to any tg, there is always too much you know and cannot possibly write down for any of us to assess. 2 - 3,000 baht is very little and I would have thought if she is trying to scam you she would have gone for a larger sum of say 20 to 50,000, so sounds sort of genuine. Sometimes they ask just to show their friends their farang likes them, I've usually found they ask after being pressured by friends or family, at least she is asking for herself and not some problem with mumma, buffalo etc which again makes me think maybe genuine.
