The English term ''Death trap'' means that it is a dangerous place to be and that harm may come to you (possibly get killed).
TV programs like this are very negative and try to frighten or shock the TV viewer. The TV company just looks at various places around the world and puts a program together about only bad things.
Don't worry about the elephants, but it is good advice not to stand behind them when they do sh!t though
