Maybe she had just cooked them? Perhaps balancing a small primus stove on her lap, or a charcoal grill? The stewardess was lucky she didn't get full porterhouse steak with new potatoes, garnish, a little ice cream to follow, perhaps a profiterole or two, filter coffee and one of those little individually wrapped minty things...?
Noodles indeed, I hate it when people don't take the time to do things properly...
