If your mom likes to be pampered I would have chosen the Banyan Tree at Laguna. Options for your mom are there at patong as well with spa. But indeed the Spa at Banyan Tree is nice. Though even at Crown Plaza Karon you will find a great spa, great villa's and closer to patong. And your mom is still pampered. But like I said, even in Patong there are enough options
