Im 6 foot tall and if the room has a suspended ceiling with the pop in tiles I stand on a chair stick all my valuables in there as far as my arm will reach.
No chance of a 5 foot Thai getting at it without a ladder!.
I only bother with this when I don't trust the hotel safe .. i.e .. a new hotel I've never been to before.
Heard of other guys taking a small screwdriver with them and unscrewing the back of air cons and popping it all in there!
Or even stuffing half into curtain seams and the other half in the pillows so the little darling is sleeping on it all night without knowing! ... I wouldn't trust that one though .. the little minx could probably smell it!
