My last hotel safe wasn't even bolted to the wall  You could just pick it up and take with. In fact, that's what I am going to do on my next trip! Just carry my stuff around in the hotel safe. Sit at the bar of the MTB at 2 in the morning with the safe on the bar, scratching my head and trying to remember the combination to get in it.
I'm just imagining stashing my money in the aircon, coming back with a couple of girls, switching it on and showering the room in 1000 baht notes. That should be a fun night!
