I have never tried a BG in Malaysia, I have not even found a bar with a BG's staff in Langkawi, but I have to say that I travelled with my Belgian GF, so ...
About the BG's, it would mabe better to have a stop in Phuket and take a BG on holidays to Malaysia.... but I doubt she will like the food.
Many restaurants say that they can cook chinese and Thai but their Thai food is just chinese with more peppers.
Nice country, nice people, but I definitively prefer LOS
