One of my mates at christmas 2003 booked with air uzbekistan (hope thats spelled correctly stevem) and was stuck at Tashkent airport for 17 hours on the outbound journey and 14 hours on the return. i always try to fly with eva/or china air via london or amsterdam no complaints whatsoever. when i lived in London i lived in the east end and i used to fly fromlondon city with klm to amsterdam and then china air from there i once did lufthansa from london city and it was avery uncomfortable journey i was amazed because germans tend to be big guys just like myself but the space in the seats was very small next year i am going to fly emirates glasgow/dubai/bangkok was going to do it this time but when i was booking in january i had just returned from los and was potless and they would not take a booking with a deposit they wanted 100% of money up front £545 i have had good reports about emirates plenty of leg space and good service . so will try them for my may 2006 trip.
