3. why would anyone take a photo of a plane's tyre in mid flight ? Surely, it would be much easier to do on the ground ? Even if the damage was real and had been noticed mid-flight, why send up another plane to take a photo of it ? I can't see it myself.

I think this is a picture of the front landing gear, taken for whatever reason, that has since been subject to a little bit of imaginative paint-brushing. Probably done by the same person responsible for that famous "photo" of a Navy Seal climbing a ladder up to a helicopter above the sea, with a dirty great shark hanging from his leg 55555 !!

Sory I did not have my camera handy when boarding the plane. I took this just before landing in Phnom Penh comming from Siem Reap. What do you suggest I do, ask them to replace the new tire or the old tire, so that both look equal. I confirm that this is an original photo, no pait-brushing. And if you don't believe, try flying President airlines, they are a bit cheaper than Siem Reap airlines (a daughter/sister company of BKK airlines).
As told before, this pic is taken out of my window seat. I am maybe crazy, but not crazy enough to hang underneath a plane.
And this is Cambodja, not Western Europe. As Denver told, some countries don't have the same flying standards.
