I use Axis cameras but the CCD is based on Sony as I am aware of.

I actually ordered a new one today, about 20,000 baht. I do have a waterproof box with inbuilt fan but I never found a good location in the bar to mount it. It is big. (The same camera house is used at BKK airport)

I may or may not use the housing, I will see what I do when the camera arrive.

The CCD is the part that makes or breaks the quality.
The SONY cameras had a big edge with the quality of the pictures...
Our analysis was based on the JPEG files from the cameras compared to scanned results from a set of test images for calibrating scanners.
The variance in the DCT variables (the main parameters of a JPEG image) between the camera and the scanner were used as the metric.

I found two cameras that might be a solution, but boy are they pricey: $1,250 for the SNC-Z20N fixed camera with Zoom and $1,350 for the SNC-RZ30N Tilt/Pan/Zoom. These cameras are network based, can support 50 simultaneous users with 4 levels of control:
1) View only
2) Zoom and capture
3) Security based functions
4) Manage

SONY also offers a pressurized dome that should stop the humidity from degrading the lifetime of the camera.
