Hi Bliss,
What I usually do is to start replying to a post, which at that point, I don't know taht I am going ot write a long answer. When I take too long thinking about it or writing so much, then I wonder if I am timed out. So, then I open up Microsoft word in a new window, do a cut and paste, using the "Control C, Control V" technique described by Dizbuster, to transfer my reply to the Microsoft Word window. Then I go back to the "Reply to Post" where I wrote my reply, and I hit submit. If it goes through, which it sometimes does, then I'm cool. But if it doesn't, then I can bring up Phuket-Info all over again, go to the thread, find the post, bring up the reply screen, the go back to Microsoft Word, highlight the reply, do Control C, go back to the reply box, do Control V, and I am good.
I used to lose a lot of posts before I learned this technique. Damn!! Is anything more frustrating than seeing a long post or letter disappear into cyberspace? One tip about the Control C/Control V Technique - hold down the control key firmly, and tap the Control C key with a stroke that is sure, but quick. For some reason, if you don't get the touch right, your post will vanish and you have defeated yourself. Of course, you could always use the Edit function, but Control C/Control V is very quick and easy, once you get the right touch!!

P.S. A shortcut would be to highlight the reply, do control C, then hit submit reply. If you find you are timed out, then log in to Phuket-Info again, go to the thread, post, and then the reply window, then hit control V. That way you cut out the use of Microsoft Word. Of course, if you happen to make a mistake or inadvertently hit a wrong key, then you might lose the reply. But if you use the edit function instead of Control C/Control V, maybe that would make for a safer transfer with use of Microsoft Word. Basically, Control C picks up text and Control V drops the text into the window you have open. You can also use it to move parts of text around within the same window.
Have fun!!!!
