Yes well done to England they deserved their Series victory......it's a pity Australia did not play with the urgency it showed this match, in Tests 2, 3 & 4. I thought they went up a gear this match, but it was too late.

I said in a post some time ago, that if Gilly didn't fire it would be close......he didn't and it was.

Wonder what would have happened if Warne had taken that catch......we will never know......did the genuis who took an unbelievable 40 wickets cost Australia the Ashes ?

England are going to put the fear of god into some test teams accross the world with Flintoff and Pietersen being able to maul attcks in the fashion they can...........just need to sort out a number 4, and a new wicket keeper, and bingo you have a very good team.....Giles does not take a huge amount of wickets, but he always seems to make a contribution along the way.

Australia will need to go through a slight rebuilding phase......nothing too drastic.....don't think Hayden can afford another 2 bad test matches in a row anymore....Gillspie and Kasprowicz are IMHO yesterdays news.

Endland are due in OZ in about 14 months.......that should be a huge summer.....might even have to give LOS a miss and stay home to watch the Boxing Day Test.
