I have read the few threads posted earlier this year in relation to Wirless internet connection but I would be very grateful if anyone has any info on the current availability for a Wirless Connection in a GF hotel close enough to Bangla Rd. And if thats not enough to ask for then a nice sized pool would be great also!!!!

when i was at the salathai in sept i noticed someone surfing on his lap-top
during breakfast. maybe you can check their site or e-mail them to enquire. btw salathai is not too far from the beach and bangla, has a ok sized pool and also g/f as well. cheers.

The Summer Breeze Hotel is a WiFi hot spot and has free ADSL connections in some of the rooms. Make sure you ask about the in-room connections when you book because I had to wait a few days until I could move into a room that had one. I have not used the WiFi connection yet but when I asked where I could plug in my laptop’s PSU when sat in the bar/restaurant area the staff produced an extension cord so I could sit where I wanted, so the hotel is very lap-top friendly.

The hotel is also very girl friendly and about 100M from Bangla Road.

I am staying in Salathai resort, at the moment, they have wi-Fi in the lobby/resturant, dont know if there is signal in the rooms, and i dont know if it's free.
But nice hotel girl frindly, close to Bangla road, nice pool, and quiet.

If you are looking for a quiet out of the way spot that has good high speed, wire-free connectivity then head for CC Blooms in Kata! If you can find it! It took me a while and just the way I like it. Peaceful, quiet with a touch of luxury.

This is one of my top three places I visited on my last trip for a long, long rental for myself (I will have to make do with the 20 minutes into Patong and sort out a good overnight rate with Patong Villa!) Amazing what they have achieved there in such a short time.

Lovely bar, over looking the Andaman Sea and catching up on your email and Phuket-info.com and sipping a tall Cognac on the rocks...........Heaven!

. I think I will give Salathai a go, looks great and fits all the criteria. That place over in Kata Beach looks like pure luxury Denver but is a little bit out of town. If I hook up with TG for a GF for a while I will definitely retreat out to this spot.

Yes, CC Blooms is a great place to sneak off to with your GF if you just want to be alone and chill out for a couple of days. I am looking at taking a two bedroom there for maybe a year, if I can come to the right arrangement with the MD! Let's just say that with breakfast - it would be less a month than my mortgage+Council tax and all the utilities put together on my UK property!!! And they even change the sheets for you! 55555

You'll be best off in Patong itself for your holiday mate. Have a great one and keep yourself busy until the day arrives 555555 Hurts doesn't it?? 55555

LOL....It sure does hurt but I guess it will hurt even more after a couple of weeks out there
