Hi guys, its a long story but I have the opportunity to do a deal here in aus to stay at the seapearl for very cheap in jan/feb, it is not my prefered option but the deal would be too good to pass up and my question is does anyone know if they are guest friendly or not? I have emailied them about a joiner fee but have not recieved a response yet

Cool Seapearl Hotel

I don't know if it is GF or not but it is a good hotel and has its own massage parlour right outside the entrance. These may do a room service.Directly opposite is the Beach Bar.

I think there is a connection between Seapearl and Thara Patong. These two hotels sell holiday lets through Club Absolute. Its a racket which involves locals going round with scratch cards to entice holidaymakers to go the hard sell sales pitch. Very slick operation which I signed up for and then cancelled when I read further into it.
That said,I was given a brochure for Seapearl and it looks a beautiful place to stay. Sorry I still can't help you as to whether they are G/F or not though

Its a very nice hotel but it will cost you 700 bath every night if you are afraid to sleep alone.

Yeah i got the same thing.... a fax came through at my work, encouraging people who earn 50k plus to take advantage of 7 nights all inclusive accomodation at the seapearl for only $99 AUS, and could be taken any time in the next two years.... sounds great hey?? but the catch was (stated in very very small print) that i had to give 90mins out of my time to attend some sort of sales seminar.
This turned me off straight away as i know a few people who have been caught up in this hard sell sales arrangement and from their experience it took a lot longer that 90 mins and were bugged by these people for a while sort off putting a dampner on their trip.

But the hotel does look great, and has all the amenities one would need.

I don't mind local girls coming up to me trying to scam me as I can't see a lot of difference to them and BG's. What really piss#s me off and I have nearly been involved in full on punch up with is those northern english maggots who give me the hard sell. Why are they allowed to do this? Is it illegal for them but they get away with it by payola to the local wollapas?

So, Take a watch count out 90 mins then walk out - What are they going to do? - Anyone who gets bullied by a timeshare salesperson need to work on their social and "say no" skills.

Thanks guys, but the deal I have on offer is nothing to do with what you are talking about, it is just an alternate payment method through my work, so the question is still out there joiner or not?
It seems that 700 baht could be the going rate but does anyone else have an opinion who has stayed there?

Hello Planter.
I have stayed there for 2 weeks before the big one and It was very classy rooms but its not worth it because the 700 bath. So I think its better to take another hotell such as Harrys Beach hotell near Bangla for 1200 and you dont need Tuk-Tuk for 100 Bath one way.
Good luck

Can't believe I still havnt had a reply from the seapearl, I shot them another email yesterday and it got deleted without being read!
the address I have is
manager@seapearl-beach.com
does any one know if this is right? I can't believe they wont reply even if just to say they prefer not to have overnight guests. the email I sent them was

"Hi I am thinking of staying in your lovely resort for 2 weeks at the end of jan early feb, could you please tell me if you charge a joiner fee for overnight guests as this would influence my decision. I am coming on my own and would book a double room."

I would have thought this was precise enough without being too forward what do you guys think?

I think you should check in at the Casa Summer Breeze in Soi San Sabai, ask for superior room facing the street and preferably on floor one or two, Bill the owner is a great guy and will make your stay very welcome, tidy rooms great atmosphere and no joiner fee and two hundred yards and you are in Bangla. Shared use of pool at end of road.

No I don't have shares in the place nor any connection, just stayed there and staff are the friendliess I've ever encountered and will make your trip all the more enjoyable.

Believe me Benjy, my social and "say no" skills are spot on, i deal with sales people all the time in my industry .

Suppose i was trying to say is that personally, i could not be stuffed dealing with this whilst on holidays, i deal with enough of this at work...... LOS time is my time to drink, party and generally relax. I don't feel that i have to say "no" to anyone, hence my declination of the offer.

The joiner fee there is 900 baht this season, but the security guard is such a dopey maggot, you could sneak a whole team of beach volley ball girls in there and he still wouldn't shift his backside from the chair

Just finished a stay at Casa Summer Breeze

I just finished a 25 day stay at Casa Summer Breeze. No hassles or fees there with girls, Bill and his staff are top notch and very friendly and helpful with whatever you need.
In fact it's worth stopping by if you are in need of a good cup of coffee. The food at The Breeze is excellent as well. It's about 1/2 a block from Bangla.
I have an E-mail for them: casa@summerbreezehotel.com
