Patong Villa Bungalow rooms?

Just wondering how are these rooms different from the others they have? Deluxe and such. I know patong villa is pretty close to the beach and I stayed their last year, but never heard of this room? Is it on the beach??? Or next to the pool?

Agree with Bono here, the bungalows are great and a bit bigger than most of the rooms advertised but IMHO not that much more special!! You get the same things in the fridge and they are serviced just the same as any other room at PV. I like the fact that they just open up onto the pool, you have a bit more room to dive from the side table onto the bed. Thick black out curtains that shield other guests from some of the noise I make, excellent rope bondage anchorage points and very big mirrors!!

I just stayed at Patong Villa last week in one of their bungalows. I havent tried the normal rooms, but always book a bungalow because they have access to the pool area directly.

Here is a picture of the Bungalows by the pool:

That's the one I stayed in Hep 322 at the bottom of those steps, that was the only bit of Tsunami damage I could see at PV, up on the roof where they had to cut down a tree. I enjoy it there, friendly enough, close enough to everything I want. You get the odd Aussie (They're all odd!) ringing you now and again about having a LB back in your room!! Plus, I hadn't booked the bungalow and when I got there last time I didn't really like the fact that I had to walk along a corridor, through reception everytime I wanted to use the pool. I asked if they had a bungalow available for the same two weeks and after a little banter and the usual Denver charm, got the bungalow for the same price as the room! Well, you have to ask! Dont'cha!

First time I stayed there I was in 323 and this time 321 - Next time I will ask for 322 so I get the whole row done :P

By the ways.. Those damn steps were a killer.. when you came back home at night after way to much alcohol you really had to watch yourself because the steps were so slippery. (or maybe I was just too drunk). I paid 1800 bath for my bungalow this time including breakfast, but I didnt manage to get up that early anyways hehe.

But the that passage way can be fun sometimes!! I've taken an hour to get through it! Come out at the other end with a tattoo! 16 T-Shirts, a new suit, someones Sister and a Rolex!! Brilliant!

Thanks for the PM with regard to Sue, Hep, that is really appreciated. It's nice when you are remembered. Thanks again Hep.

A bit of a sad story, the owner has his house at the back of the SeaDragon car park. He has a beautiful German Shepherd there, which is a trained guard dog, for obvious reasons. Recently someone must have come under the dogs attention, as some low life has poisioned this beautful dog. The dog can now hardly walk.

Wow, that is very disgraceful. What kind of creature would do such a thing? I need my dog outside my house every summer in New York. I am always scared of such things happening. My dog is a lab and he is fully grown 3 1/2 years old. And I love him to death, now I just keep him inside the house just to be on the safe side.

But thanks for the picture. I guess I must've been out of it on the day I asked the question. I looked over my pictures when I stayed in Patong Villa and realized it was the pool rooms. Those tailors come to know you after a while and leave you alone. I remember when I stayed there last time, it was four of us and for about 7 nights.. Every morning just say our hellos and be on our way.

I cannot wait!! only 20 more days till I am in LOS!! WOOOO HOOOO!!!!

The View from inside 322 at Patong Villa! and one of me after 28 hours of flying!

This Bungalow is getting a bit of Kudos now!!! Apparently they are getting one of those Blue Thai Tourist Authority Plaques put up outside it to say that "Denver Stayed Here 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2005" People will be flocking to have thier picture taken in front of it!!

It seems a common gutless cowardly thing to do here.. My mate had a pup that grew into a well behaved loved family pet.. Someone in his local area poisoned it for unknown reasons. Died foaming at the mouth with spasms as he tried to get it to a vet. To say he was gutted is an understatement.

The rooms look pretty good, never been in them before, only to the office and restaurant for chats with the owner.

Yeah, the rooms are very nice for the price Steve.
I appreciate that 1200-1750 is a fair bit more for a single guy to be paying when all his needs can be met for under 1000baht.

But they are ideal for a family,or couple and the swimming pool is very nice too. Breakfasts aren't that good though, probably why we were offered complementary breakfasts instead of a lower rate .

BTW, how can anyone, petlover or not, poison someone elses pet and not have a consience. A dirty lowlife act IMO.

Agreed Dawsey (Happy Birthday BTW) the breakfasts leave alot to be desired! While I was there they were having a 'two-fers' (Two-fer the price of one!) promotion at the pool bar with free nibbles!! Not many people were taking them up on it though!! It was a bit too early in the evening.

Not into this Dog poisoning either, I've never had a pet, not viable with my job etc constantly on the move but to put a family pet through that!! Sick IMHO.

Ive booked a superior/deluxe room with patong villa .

Have board members been happy with these rooms in terms of comfort, choice of tv ,air con ,noise at night etc. Also do they have safety deposit box/safe in the rooms.Would it be better upgrading to a bungalow room?

It looks a decent place and the pool is a bonus compared to my last stay.

Thanks

I stayed in one of these a couple of weeks ago - can't remember which it was but it didn't have a balcony.
Good room but it was next to a staircase and opposite the cleaners store so was a bit too noisy in the mornings- otherwise no complaints about the room or hotel.
I wanted to move to another room but my girl decided she liked the room so .....

Hi Glassman,

There are no safes in the rooms at PV. There are deposit boxes at reception. They will sign a key to you which stays with you. They keep a log of when you access the box and you must countersign. Reception is manned 24/7 and likewise the security guys at PV. I felt assured enough keeping my passport, wallet and spare cash in those boxes. I would take out my debit card, withdraw cash, pocket some cash and return any money I didn't need plus the card back to the box as soon as I had been to the ATM. The normal precautions you would take on holiday anywhere in the world I'd say! Have a great stay and say hello from Denver to Sue at the Chaidee Massage for me won't you!!! Cheers

Patong Villa is a good hotel with a great location. The bungalow rooms are much better than the regular rooms. In the regular or deluxe rooms the king size bed is actually two singles put together. You just may end up with your mr. johnson stuck in the middle. Be careful!!

Cheers,

Ashley

Cheers Ashley, I got my todger caught between the beds a couple of times, I think my latest girl was trying to tell me something!! The rooms are big enough for me to do my early morning jog around before my yoghurt for breakfast!

Only joking the bed in the bungalows is king huge and even a svelte bloke like me can get lost on it. Which is great with a squirmy, squiggly lovely little wriggly young Thai lady by (I said lady by) your side! They can sleep and I can sneak to the fridge for a can of coke and snickers during the night! Brilliant!
