singapore airport overnight

Hi all,

Flying from Phuket (silk air )to UK via Singapore Airlines on my return trip.
The flight from Phuket lands about 23.00 hrs leaving me about 7 hours to hang around before my check in , for a 9.00 am flight to UK.

Any suggestions from anyone who has done these flight times. Is it ok to find a comfortable chair and have a few winks or wiser to book a room for the night. Any suggestion or recommendations from anyone. Thanks

If you want you can book a room at the Transit Hotel, but you had better do it well in advance. Otherwise, make your way up the to the end of the E pier on the right and claim a seat in the Oasis. Crash out there, watch TV or use the internet. In the morning go back down towards the F transit desk and go upstairs and have a shower SGD8.40

Up2 you really where you sleep. If £20odd quid for a bed is not a problem then Id book a room. I booked in advance ,a room in the airport hotel. Its OK but at the time (2003) there was a lot of reconstuction work going on at the airport which didn't make for a very quiet nights sleep.
They used to sell the hotel rooms in blocks of hrs at a time (say 6hrs) and you can book online at www.changiairport.com

I used the transit hotel this past June. I was able to get about two hours of sleep due to the construction. Nice room, just too much noise. Check and see if it is done.
They have a nice theatre showing continuos movies. Also, free internet.
Hope this helps.

I spent 24 hours in Changi airport back in 1995 waiting for a flight to Oz.
Slept on the floor with a blanket , got a full 6/7 hours sleep and was there for the plane in the morning.

Since been back and there are plenty of things to keep you occupied such a the free cinema and the outdoor pool , not sure what time that shuts.

I dont think 7 hours would be too long to wait around there its a big place or you could jump on the bus and take a walk around town.
