C&N has free transfer from airport if you stay more than, I think, days (?). Pay 500THB for the return trip. info@cnhotelpatong.com

Airport taxi to Patong

This month I paid 430 bt. from a/port to Phuket town drop g/fs family off, then onto Patong .
This included the 100 bt. airport levy.
Return journey from Patong to a/port cost 308 bt.
I know it's been said before but for those who don't know, when you exit the airport arrivals, head straight over the carpark heading slightly to your left for about 100 metres and you'll find the meter taxi's. Make sure you get the drivers card for the return journey. Call him the day before you leave to book with him. I've used them 3 times now and found them to be very reliable. Non of the hassle of trying to sell you hotel rooms excursions etc.
The airport taxi touts will try and grab you. Just tell them you have a car waiting in the c/park.
I think it's important to use the meter taxi's so as to break the hold the "limousines", "airport mafia" have had for years.
