Hi lads n lasses,
Due to one of my party crying off, I've got a spare ticket departing Gatwick on Boxing Day and returning on 14th Jan with Emirates (via Dubai).
Open to offers here b4 I put on Ebay.
Ciao.

Ticket Transfer
Maybe you fella's r right. Never occurred to me that u couldn't transfer a ticket. Can't see y not. When I booked, I was asked the names of the passengers but not asked for identity. Assuming passports were in order, I can't think of a reason not to do.
But, then again, what do I know? lol.

When you check in, the name on the ticket has to match the name on the passport.
Even just one letter mispelling and they won't let you travel.

Yeah but...
Can't the ticket issuer change the transfer the ticket details from one person to another in the same way they can ammend dates of travel etc?

Airline reservation systems have passenger name change functionality builtin, but most airlines do not permit passenger name changes once a booking is made, let alone once ticketed.
You'll need to verify with the carrier involved here.

Thanx Steve etc.
Guess it's wise to ask the question at the time of booking in future.
Cheers anyway.

My daughter's too ill to travel. gonna pursue the promised holiday for my two son's sakes. But it's not good to leave the apple of my heart at home too ill to travel with us. Holiday will be wonderful in its own way, no doubt...
...but think before you post, you prick.
If you want verification of my child's illness, private me and I'll scan the Doctor's reports in for you.
Sorry, guys. I'm a bit tense. Happy to be travelling back to LOS, but took my angst out on the guy for a tongue-in-cheek reply, there.

You said in your original post that you had a spare ticket due to one of your party "crying off".
This isn't exactly the same as a sick daughter now is it???
I reckon it's you who needs to think before you post.
G/Mans remark was perfectly innocent and & lighthearted.
I reckon you need to chill out just a mite.
