well as above peeps, id like to know how to get from patong to ko samui, some friends of mine will be visiting me in patong when im there and they quite fancy going to a full moon party. so i just need some info on how to get there from patong and how much it costs. also would accomodation be very hard to get in samui or very expensive on the night of one of these parties

As Stevem said, Just book a flight through www.bangkokair.com

Accomadation in Samui can be found easily but it is a bit more expensive than Patong I found (I stayed Cheweng Beach), But if you are thinking of staying on Koh Phangan, You will have to book a minimum of 3nights there, So I didnt bother, Just got the speedboat there and back....

Well worth a visit though

or u could get a bus then a boat(pick up from hotel) for around 500- 600b,patong to phangan,takes a lot longer than the plane.
Flying is a better option.still cheap enough.
im over at Koh phangan at the mo,gonna do the FMP and possibly chill for a day or 2 after.
if u were in samui before u can get the ferry over for 120b.or as Ally said u can get the speedboat over just for the party,depends how long u wanna stay really.

As SteveM said just get the flight over. We did the drive from phuket to koh samui a few years ago. We had a great time, saw plenty and was glad to do it but dont think I would drive it again. To much stuffing around with the car ferry and time travelling I would rather have the extra time on the island.
