Interested with Phuket

Hi All,

Greetings from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia!!

I am a new member in this forum. I'm interested to know more about Phuket and need some suggestions and opinion form forumers. Do you guys know any travel packages that include airlines ticket + accommodation?

I need some opinions regarding hotel accommodation and places of interests in Phuket. Would love to visit Phuket on end of January or early February next year..Well, I'm planning to go during this Christmas holiday but I got no leave left..

Any best beaches there? Where?? Can't wait to go to Phuket soon? Is in February is the best time to go there? Perhaps it will not have heavy rain..

Welcome to the board, for packages from KL you'll really need to see a local travel agent. The cheapest flights are with Air Asia, check their website to see if they offer any packages

Are you sure that a package deal is the best way to do things? Why not book a flight and accommodation yourself. Book your first couple of nights somewhere and then decide if you want to move on. Keep flexible that way.

Hi gez,

Yeah, on 2nd thoughts, I think it is a good idea too..I will book the flight only from here Kuala Lumpur to Phuket and will search for hotels by myself. But, did you all guys know where is the best place to stay? I will stay for 3 days 2 nites and I don't think I want to have a luxury and expensive hotels..just not too expensive such as 4 or 5 star hotels..as long as it is comfortable and nice or maybe if there any nearby the beach and the phuket town..

Perhaps..I will go during christmas holiday or new year, do you all guys think it will be best time to visit? Hope there will be no heavy rain..

Really hope you guys can give me some opinions or suggestions as this is my first time going there..Thanks

With such short notice accomodation will be hard to find and more expensive over the christmas period, why only two nights? is it because of time off work?, i reckon I'd wait til feb and have a decent holiday, unless your looking just for a tester. If you tell us more what you like doing on holiday, who you are travelling with etc you will get more accurate answers.

Hi Suzy,

Make sure you go to MTB and say hello to Nicke and all the Bms who will be there. Post a pic of yourself so that we can recognise you

@Dawsey. haven't you heard of subtlety Roger - take the easy approach sometimes.

heres the map from their site ,the blue sky is further back up the hill ,so you may need a tuk tuk to get to the night life area ,which is in bangla road,
if you get dropped off at the opposite end of the beach, walk down bangla-- ,on the right, you come to "soi eric", go into soi eric, and the mai tai bar is on the right side ,about half way down

pity they're booked up - stayed next door@ Toy Residence during Oct/Nov this year and shared swimming-pool facilities with Blue Sky. Place clean, friendly and well-run, no problems. Quite a bit from the main nightlife but you can easily hire motorbike from Blue Sky (I paid 130/day low season, should be about 150bt/day this time of year). May be worth trying Toy Residence to see if any vacancies. Enjoy
