It could be done and was a useful calculation before my trip thanks to all the information I got from members here, the information is excellent. I of course went over budget on some things and under on others. Not by a great deal as I ate on the street most evenings, didn't need to pay a bargirl every night *in fact hardly, more on that later* and of course bought trinkets and gifts. I had a thoroughly amazing time; the trip has SERIOUSLY changed my whole life. Thank you to all the members who made my trip easy by sharing all their information.

Just to add a point here, a £1500 investment has changed my whole life!! If you are reading this "thinking" of going to Thailand, STOP THINKING and just go!!

Good post I totally agree you can do it for this and less if you're not a heavy drinker.

It's just that I usually have to budget just to get to LOS and so I can't really be ars*d doing it while I'm there I like to have a good time and this usually involves spending plenty of baht.

All I know is it's a fcuk of alot cheaper to live like a king in LOS so why not for a few weeks a year.
