The pool is a deal clincher isnt it.. So good to wake late with a hangover and have that first splash of the morning.

Surasak doesn't his wife manage the hotel as well? I believe my g/f aunt spoken to the lady and she denied everything, that she was not there to begin with. When all the time she was telling me to "SHUT UP". I believe she called the day prior before speaking to her, and one of the receiptionist told her that she was the only manager in that hotel. And she was the wife of the owner. How convenient.. anyways, I am sure she told her side of the story and Surasak probably denied all my claims in this thread.
No worries, just moving onto one of the hundreds of hotels they have in Phuket.

I used to stay at the rooms at the side of the pool at PV and loved to come out and do my triple back sommersault with tucked pike into the deep end in the morning just to impress the cleaners etc! You know...........as you do!
This last time I was in the bungalows at the far end of the pool and pretty much looked a right twonk when doing my Denver 'Bomb' I found myself sat in three feet of water and a bruised ring! Anyway, it gave the cleaners a giggle!
Always check the water depth and which end of the pool you are staying in!
This simple safety feature post has been bought to you by Mr Denver and the Iraqi Board of water safety. Thank you.

Funny you should mention that. On returning to my cleaned room in PV on my third day I noticed a brown mark on my pillow case. Not sure what it was

5555555555555 Nice one Paul, that one gave me a giggle, definately checking out all my bedding and sheets etc next time I stay anywhere!
I've had a few 'slight' mishaps myself while putting the old socks on! Bending down while sitting on the bed after a few too many Tigers the night before!
Parp! oops!! 55555
All the BM's at the PV will be paranoid now!
Enjoy your sleep! 5555555555555555555

Not at all Mav, just genuinely wondered why she re-opened a thread that was well over a year old to post something that made no sense to me 'oopsey oopsy BM hansum man'.
To open such an old thread I would have to feel that I had some extra very relevant piece of information to add to it.

Well now it has been brought up again i thought i would share what i now think of the place:
Looking back on all of my trips i think that my one where i stayed in PV was probably the best overall, Bozo, Denver, N1, dawsey clan(must have been April i guess) were all there at the same time so it made for some good afternoon and early evenings by the pool.
But i would not be staying there again due to the tunnel of T-shirts, i am on holiday, i really dont want the hassle.
Cant be bothered reading the whole thread again, but IIRC, he was getting a laywer onto the case wasnt he???

I'm thinking of booking this place for my stay in about one weeks time. I've read the reports on Werwolf's sticky, but would appreciate any up to date comments. It is still GF?
As suggested by Simon on the other thread, latestays do a very good rate in low season.

I heard its no longer G/F Sirjizzer. I can't recall where on here I read it, but might be an idea to email them and ask their latest policy.

Thanks Roger, PM sent but if there is any doubt I may head for Jintana or KN. I will just roll up and take my chances with them. Apart from booking problems, I'm assuming that KN is okay.
There is a 3rd hotel on that soi as well which has been recommended over the recent few months.

Yeah its Poppa Palace. KN is a fine hotel, and somehow I doubt there will be any problems with room vacancies just now. Send them an email they can confirm vacancies I would think. Here is the contact addy:

Perhaps you might consider just booking one night at a hotel and then wandering around to see places.
Expat has building work going on and the KN probably still has.
There's going to be plenty of rooms available around town, why take the chance of booking somewhere that is going to be noisy ? You could always stay at the place you've booked the one night for, if you can't find anything better.
