Large sitting room with couch, 2 comfortable chairs and coffee table , also large TV. An extra that I made use of was tea/coffee making facilities , many a morning??? I needed the "caffine kick".

Bathroom is a decent size , with a good powerful shower , and is kept very clean by the staff. Large double/king size bed , (so no getting wedged between matresses) , aircon in main room keeps the place cool but there is also a fan which can be directed onto the bed.

Large fridge/minibar and smaller TV also in bed area, safe deposit box fitted in wardrobe.

All the staff were excellent and good fun , cleaners would just laugh when they saw me some days (after a few heavy nights) , security guard at night was always very polite and helpful. Had some really good food and always excellent chats with Bill , who will happily take constructive critisism and do his best to make your stay a pleasent one.

OK , this is me posting , so you know I'll always find fault !!!

Well, this time it's very difficult , when I arrived there were problems using WiFi in the rooms , Bill has already had someone in to fit boosters. Still a bit slow but that is being dealt with and hopefully will be up to speed soon. My only other comment was purely from a personal point of view , my living room had two walls painted with a "mural" of a beach scene. Not really a problem , more a matter of taste . Would it stop me visiting again , h*ll no , I'll be back there next trip and will probably try to get the same room.

Thanks to you Bill , and pass on my best wishes to all your excellent staff.

Sounds great!

The only problem is that im having problems getting replys from this hotel at the moment from emails!

I have read of a few others having difficulty getting responces from hotels. A few weeks ago I put it down to time of year and the amount of business the hotels were having! But a few weeks on, Im not so sure! Is there problems with local servers over there?

Anyhow, im going to try a few more times!

There were a few "computer" problems when I was there , but they should be O.K by now. An alternative is to send a PM to billpay , it's his place and I'm sure he'll get straight back to you.

PS. Their web-site was also being "remodelled" , so maybe you had the "old" link.

She told me the price in High saison was about 1000 Bt, but i'm not 100 % sure about that. The place is guestfriendly. Because they just opened, there is no restaurant yet but they intend to open one. The bar is fine and well stocked. The Swedish guy and his Thai GF where very friendly and you could easely spend an evening at their bar just drinking and chatting. The guesthouse is located at: 74/19 Nanai Rd.. Tel. 076 296767. Mobile: 09 9412513 (Bernt) . To go there from Bangla Rd. is easy. Just walk trough Soi Sansabai, completely to the end. Then go through the fence and turn right. After 200 m turn left. You now arrived at the street where the guesthouse is located. Approximately 8/9 min walk from Bangla. I heard in the near future they will have a website. I think Nicke can give some info on this one also.

Cheers,

Raval

And now they have website

Let me once again recommend to you the Summer Breeze Hotel at Patong Beach, Phuket, as a place to stay. It's a great place, American run and managed, ideal location and very friendly staff. They do not pay me to say this - I am just recommending to you a really good spot to stay. It's inexpensive and guests are not a problem.

I know stickmanbangkok should really post this himself , but thought I'd post it in case he's missed this thread.

Ditto Mate,

The Summer Breeze Hotel - 2 x e-mails = ZERO replies
http://www.summerbreezehotel.com/

The K-Hotel - 2 x e-mails and 1 x phone call = ZERO replies
http://www.k-hotel.com/english/index.htm

In the end I simply gave up.

I didn't want to book just yet (otherwise I could use a hotel booking site etc)

I just wanted to check their Penthouse and Superior Room Rates

I thought with it being the Low Season they would be breaking a leg to talk to you???

Another opinion...During my visit in March I stayed at both the K Hotel and the Summer Breeze. K Hotel was ok but too much $$ for what I got. The Summer Breeze was great, got the Summer Suite, excellent, wi-fi worked, answered emails, friendly, etc. couldn't ask for a better value. Needless to say I have located my "home" in Patong!

Update Guys,

BM billpay (owner of The Summer Breeze) PM'd me and gave me his private e-mail to contact him - Thanks Bill

He has been having a few I.T. problems.

Still nothing from the K-Hotel. Must be making plenty of $ (fotonut's post) and don't need any of my $).

I've made my mind up, so I'll be giving TSB a go next trip for sure.

Cheers

Rattana Hill Apartments on 50 Pee Road (the hillside up from Montes Bar and Restauarant) is good value. Very quiet location. Got swimming pool and internet. Apartments are serviced daily and have seperate kitchen area and a balcony overlooking the pool.

They've offered me 12000 baht a month from now but I've moved out to see what it's like renting in Ban Kathu for a while away from Patong!

Spent a week in one of the suites at the Summer Breeze in early May.
Would thoroughly recommend.

Looks a great place, had a few beers there and a chat with Bill. Nice and clean, friendly staff and a great breakfast starting at 7 AM! Don't ask!

Lots of good feedback and Bill seems to be doing a great job with the place.

I still need my pool though!

Stayed there for a couple of nights this trip in a Summer Suite and was v impressed.
As well as the pool at the end of the Soi there is one in Tai Life midway up Sansabai - not cheap at 200baht/day but a nice place to spend an afternoon chilling.

Yes,that's the one IJ. Simbo from Faulty's has a membership and uses their gym most days. Apparently quite a lot of "eye candy" go there , so don't know if his increased heart rate is all down to exercise.

Tailife is fine and its a good excuse to pant heavily looking at sexy girls in bikinis and get away with it. On in there at the moment has been wearing a thong and she's got the sexiest butt I have ever seen on a girl (even though she's in her 30s!). B200 seems a lot but it includes the sauna and steam room (Gym is B300). It has no connection to Taipan andf the staff are very friendly.
