Wink Reliable? Air Asia or OnetwoGo by Thai Orient?

I am looking for a cheap but reliable way to travel from Bangkok to Phuket and a week later back to Bangkok (to connect my international flight).

Which airline of these two is more reliable and safer to fly?
Are they safe to fly?

Maybe I better go back to Bangkok a day prior to my international departure?

Thanks in advandce for all your comments.

There has been lots of discussion about Air Asia on this board, have a bit of a look around, but basically dont rely on them to connect to international flights.

If you want reliability then just go with Bangkok Airways or Thai.
OK, for a return flight they are around B4600 & B5200 respectively, but £65 - £75 shouldnt break the bank
Worth it for the peace of mind IMO

I have heard from a reliable source (ie someone told me at a bar) that Nok Air is the better economy airline, as it is part of Thai Air, and, if Nok Air were to cancel their flight you are able to transfer your ticket onto Thai Air. Worth checking out, and maybe a safer bet?
