school holiday time prime time for rip off flight prices
I dont know about the non British Bms but here in the Uk we have a strange practice of raising flight prices whenever our schools are on holiday, Last week i failed to get a flight for this week at a reasonable price (my fault i left it too late) so started to book my flight for July i tried every company i could think of and to get a flight from Glasgow involving only 1 change i had to pay £625 (850 euros) with KLM through Trailfinders bearing in mind its six months in advance that is a very high price for an economy flight, i asked the trailfinders salesperson why the prices were so high and was told its school holiday time in scotland starting on june 25, why on earth should that effect flight prices to thailand i asked firstly its low season in LOS and secondly its not a place where parents take there children on holiday (not uk parents anyway. i was given the standard answer THATS JUST THE WAY THE SYSTEM IS HERE IN THE UK. WhAT a load of pony its just a total rip off do european based bms get the same shi- and what are other british BMS experiences when trying to book flights in school holidays time.

July is the most expensive month to travel to Thailand from Scandinavia
Sas and Thai Air have some cheap tickets between 1 Apr and 15 June.Ca 850 Euro al the way to Phuket
Afther 15 June the prices go sky high Ca 1240 Euro To BKK.
I was given the same answer, its funny low season is the most expensive.

supply & demand.
They know that they will sell the seats so they bump up the price to increase their profit. It is based on previous flight history over same time period in previous years. Happens at Christmas also. You would think that with the bad summer weather they would try to keep price down but when kids are on vacation and families are traveling the price always goes up.
For the Philippines, flights are highest during summer and Christmas and summer weather is lousy, raining a lot but it is when lots of filipinos in US go back to PI to visit family.
Same thing for Palau in Micronesia.

I priced at www.southalltravel.co.uk for my mate and his GF who are coming to visit me in summer and put in outbound date of 30th June from Heathrow, returning on 22nd July (to BKK)-
Etihad- £397.50
EVA Air- £416.90
Thai- £414.40
30th June is last day for outbound flights on offers on EVA and Thai.

I had to pay fortunes last time out (to Melbourne via Bangkok) because of this, yet there were very few kids on the flight? What do they do with them, stick em in the hold?

Hi IJ, I booked my April flight with Singapore 2 months ago. The cost of the flight is €1100. Thats Dublin-Amsterdam-Singapore-Phuket. How does that compare with your April flight if you have booked it?
