I believe Bangla House is a short time hotel on the new soi adjacent to Tiger....not sure of their long time prices.....but, is clean and simple.

Room booked at short notice
I leave at 5.30 tomorrow. Finally found accomadation below, in the last few hours, it was recommended in an earlier thread and is cheap and guest friendly. Email reply took a while (few days)to come through, but I believe they have others availible. Doesn't look to bad on the website, previous comments where good, and it has a pool. Not to far anyway from Bangla.
Just a newbie myself but I will give it a try. Might see you there. Regards, Westcountry

I think you are right , it is directly opposite K2's bar (Angels) and Cocktails and Dreams (for LB lovers). Reckon it would be pretty noisy staying there , as a lot of activity going on in Soi , and music until early hours. Plus with ST's frequenting the place , it may be "lively" inside as well.
Plenty of other guest houses etc in town , so you are probably better looking for somewhere else.

Thanks for the added information. Hope you can help again. Any nice place to recommend that is going below 1000thb during high season, hopefully near all the action. Be leaving this saturday and the wait is killing me. Can't wait to go back....

Check out the hotels page on this site.
http://www.phuket-info.com/hotel/phuket/index.php
Click on the Thai flag under " Rates",this will give you the price in Baht. There are over 20 places listed for Patong Beach , all supposed to be under 1000 Baht.(you'd have to check availability).
Then check BM's opinions on the ones you think are OK.
http://www.phuket-info.com/forums/ac...esthouses.html.
When you've narrowed it down to 2 or 3 , e-mail them and see if they can do you a deal. (you may get a good price if they have rooms sitting empty).
Will take you about 30 minutes but will save you being stuck with somewhere "unsuitable".

Bangla House charges about 600 for shorttime, but if you offer them the same price even if you stay there all the time, I guess it would be ok. (mybe they raise it 1 or 200 bath)
