Ive been hangin back in booking flight to los ex perth to phuket waiting for thai to bring down there prices down a bit (end of april early may)..they usually have some good prices come this time of the year for late april early may ,they dont seem to budge to much at the moment..I dont like sitting around waiting to the last minute to book flights like to have it all booked and locked in..this time last year got over there for under $850 aus best price so far is $1200 aus..is this the average or am I just being cheap..bloody inflation ..55

yeah mate tried all different airlines ..pretty much the same price give or take $50..might wait a few weeks try again..booked last year for may holiday and then went again in october.. just seemed a bit cheaper..Im not to concerned I will pay the goin rate whatever it cost still pretty cheap compared to holidaying at home

Cheapest fares from Perth start in July. To Bangkok or Phuket return it costs under $1000 with a weeek accomodation thrown in. That's when I am going again. But it will be like a steam bath in Thailand so plan on " indoor activities".

probably doesn't help you but Thai ex-UK seem to have a habit of reducing prices 7-10 prior to flight and flights (again ex-UK) to Phuket are way more expensive than booking to BKK and then BKK-HKT seperately (you can ask them to combine the PNR's afterwards).

Your right doesnt really help much, as Thai fly Perth to Phuket direct
