Best Hotel close to Bangla
Two of my mates are coming over in March and they want a really nice hotel close to Patong nightlife. They are willing to pay up to 4-5k a night........Doesnt mather if its guestfriendly or not............
Ive never stayed in places like that, so any suggestions would be apricated.

On my first trip to Patong, i stayed at Patong Beach Hotel. I believed this will suit them. Nice big luxurious room and very close to Soi Bangla and is facing the beach. It is not guest friendly..I was quoted 3000 baht for joiner's fee.

Hi Geir
With that sort of budget, they can stay pretty much any place.
I'd look at Holiday Inn, Seapearl, Thara Patong, and Salathai for a start.
I'm sure you will get plenty of suggestions anyway.

Patong Resort Hotel
With that level of budget they could get a good suite in the Patong Resort.
The suite my mate rented had more rooms than my whole house.!

Save the money to spend on girls or in MTB - Love Bar 5555
Seriously - Expat or Summer Breeze hotels might suit .... ~ 1300Baht/ night with pool - nice and convienient .... then of course C&N ~ 1000 Baht/night... but no pool.

Hi mr 3d
Have a look here for guest friendly accommodation
http://www.phuket-info.com/forums/ac...esthouses.html
When you have found one you like the look of,send them an email for availability, maybe have to "google" for email address or booking site.
You can ask about a specific hotel here as well. Most hotels are known by the members here.
This map will give you the location of hotels around Patong

Hei Geir!
I stayed at the Safari Beach Hotel, a very nice hotel only 50 meters from Bangla Road.
It's located on Beach Road, turn right when you come to the end of Bangla. I guess it's more known for their restaurant; "Savoy Sea Food".
We paid 2.000 Baht per night when we made the reservation at "phuket.com"
Very friendly staff and best location. Clean rooms, pool, close to the beach and Bangla.
No extra for GF.
I know because of my friends (Ståle and Erik)
They told me to say hello to you Geir, and Ståle wanted me to ask if he could buy your bar-bell. He miss it.

Hi Frode
It was really nice to meet you. I might drop by in Bergen in June for a quick hello. You can tell Staale that my bar-bell miss him too
Take care
Geir
BTW guys, thanks for the advices on hotels, I will take a walk down to the beach road and have a look for my friends.

3000 baht is a joke right? per night? I have never heard of such a steep joiner fee, but I've never stayed in a hotel that charged them, and I've stayed at a lot of hotels in Thailand before I got my apartment in BKK. Did you book a double room for 2 people and say your girlfriend would be joining you later? Anyway, that is shocking.
Lots of nice hotels around for less than 4-5k, I've never stayed at Summer Breeze but it looks very nice, good way to save money for partying. I normally stay at the Family Inn and that is decent for the money, but a long walk to Bangla if you don't have a motorbike.
Cheers, Robaht

I stayed at "The Yorksher Inn" when i was in Patong (Januar/februar) and i can highly recomend it. Lokated in soi sansebai. I meet you (geir) outside it a copel of times. Ordenary rooms cost ca 1200 bath a day - suite cost ca 3000 bath a day (talk to the manager/owner and he will get you a good prise) The suites/apartments are very good!
I didnt pay eny joiner fee. The food there is also ekselent (try the lambschank!)
You can also try the Salathai, frendly staff and very good rooms.
C&N Hotell is also a good place to stay (ordenary but friendly staff and no joinerfee).
I have tryed Alloa Villa 2 times and was disapointed both times!!!
And i almost forgot : HAPPY SAMBUCA TO YOU !

Well I booked for my friends at the Safari Beach Hotel at the Beach Road.
I didnt look at the rooms, but I was told they was quite big with high standard.
The garden around with swimmingpool looked great..........They charged 2650 bath pr. night which is not so bad for highseason..........
Anyone been there??????????
