hey there..anyone ever stayed in the montana grand in patong? if so is it any good? location close to bangla? do you have to pay guest fee?

never stayed but have only seen negative reviews on this place

It's about 400 yards from Bangla. Entrance Soi is opposite Christins Massage. Only been in the lobby. Not very appealing to me but I know an American guy who liked it that much he's bought one of the apartments for 1.5million baht.

I stayed there last year and paid 700 Baht / night low season. I think this hotel was intended for greater things but fell on hard times and lowered its standards and prices to stay in business, but…they were very girl unfriendly with a 500 Baht joiner charge. After a week of this I got so pissed off with this that I politely complained and checked out early so they added 1500 Baht for three girls that had visited my room for an hour at about 2 that afternoon, these were the previous nights BG and her two friends wanting to know if I wanted to go shopping. Long story short I did not pay the afternoon joiner fees and moved out.

i think we could do with a list of girl UNfreindly hotels ,on the board so b/m,s know to avoid them?
