Longterm with Pool in Kata / Karon
Hi all,
Just joined the forum and moving down to live in Phuket from BKK on April 5th just need some advice on accomodation.
I will initially be taking a 3 month contract and I need somewhere with the following:
Large room / Apt (45sqm+)
Highspeed Internet in room preferably Wifi
Swimming Pool facilities and maybe gym / sauna etc.
Walking distance to some friendly beer bars than I can adopt as my new local for 5pm sunset beer or two
And budget upto 30,000 per month.
So far I have only found 1 accomodation that I can find as meeting my requirements that being the Pacific Club resort in Karon.
If you can think of any others please let me know really appreciate it I'll buy u a beer when i get there
Hopefully I'll meet some of the BM's and you can point me in the right direction on all things phuket over a cold one....
But this week off to the UK for 10 days (oh my god!) before returning to LOS....dreading it..
Cheers
Del

Whats the name of that yellow set of round or octagonal shaped accomodations up on the hill road / ring road.
Not near the bars but a scooter gets you anywhere eway.. Everything else they had IIRC.

Thats the place.. Thought it had internet but doesnt say so on the website... Of course you would have to haggle on price..
Also central villiage Karon on the road out of town to Patong, nice but expensive I am guessing.. 30k is a rate that should get something nice.

do you ??
I couldnt make ends meet on that.. more like a (bad) week for me !! Then again I do realize that outgoings on the villa would be what many find excessive.
As a real minimum (not living on mamma noodles but just a nice life) I could probably do 40k.. But 60 - 80 makes it much more relaxed and covers entertainment, eating out, partying etc.

Yeah thats probably how I was in my old house and during quieter months with wifey1..
At that kind of level and not giving too much to the barman you can be pretty comfortable...

Del, I have rented for next winter a poolside room at C C Blooms Hotel. They have Wi Fi in the rooms and all around the grounds. Never been there but did some online checking and heard nothing but positive feedback. No I don't know them, or own stock. The owners name is Skip, and go to :
www.beachesthairesort.com Good luck !

it's about a 100 yards from me too - not too far to the bars of Karon or Kata but a bit too far to walk unless you are a health buff.

Thanks for the info all
I am having a flying visit tomorrow for 2 days reccy mission.
I have booked 1 night at the Pacific club and 1 night at cc blooms (Looks awesome).
Will also pay a visit to warikaplace but i think that will be out my budget by the time u add the maid service, air, water etc.
I will report back on my night at each hotel if any one likes to know the details.
Cheers

Is that the place right behind Islandia? looks like it, if so. Not that far to walk is it?
