BaanThai

Hello folks,

Could someone tell me if the BaanThai is gril friendly, none of the prior posts suggest either way. It seems to have the best location for my taste. It is a hotel such as this that is of interest to me. I want to have a nice hotel, very near the beach, near the action, where I can relax and run to the room as I see fit. I do not want to walk 10 mins to hotel etc...

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

I stayed there on my first trip. First night I asked how much to take a guest back. They told me 500 bht.On my way out the security told me reception wanted to talk to me.Change of plan-no charge. The hotel was booked for me by a friend of a friend (thai businessman) so maybe this was the reason for the change of mind?I was busy enough and had no problems but I think it was mainly couples staying there.

Ahhh, thank you sir. I do not mind a 500B charge, would object to 3000B as some places. Thank you for the quick reply. I think I will call them and ask about their GF policy.

GF very near the beach

I thought BaanThai was on the beach. After looking at a couple of different maps, it might not be so. If anyone can point me to girl friendly hotel right on the beach, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I can't find the hotel website but you will see where it is from the link below.

GF Status??

I am thinking of staying there for my next visit. Experiance has shown that when a room is booked for 2 people, I have never had a problem with bringing a gust back for the evening. Is that the case with this Hotel? Does anyone have recent experiance?

Baan Thai is on the other side of Beach Rd to the beach.....there are no hotels on the beach side in that stretch

Seems to be conflicting evidence on JF's over quite a while here....suggest you bok for 2 people and ask the hotel via email directly if they charge JF....if they do threaten to change your boking and se what they say.....I'm sure it will be dropped like a hot potato....bloody oportunism

I stayed there on a special deal.

There is nothing exceptional, except that it is on on Sol Bangla, about this hotel. Pool is very small, not suitable for swimmers. Definetly not girl friendly and certainly not facing the beach.

Better to look elsewhere.

Search the forum for something more suitable. Lots of choices.
