Phuket Thailand - Rental property needed asap

Well I'm finally being kicked out of my house in Nanai as it has been a long time sold, and I guess the new owners are itching to get in.

If any of you hear about anything that is available immediately in Patong (prefer Nanai) for long-ish term rental then please fire me a PM.

I guess for spec I'm looking for a 1 or 2 bed apartment, not house, must have ADSL, preferably something reasonably nice, flexible on cost.

What about this house , it is not at nanai road but into the hills from Patong to Kamala, not a 2bed apartment either, but it has a nice pool and ADSL and it is for sale for a reasonble price

That is a superb build.. I am guessing the road out of Kamala to Jungceylon ?? Cant see where it could be on the Kamala Patong Rd..

Imagine thats a 30mil plus price tag ?? Maybe even a fair bit more if it has seaviews also..

Have you spoken to Dingo ?? He had 2 beds available.. Theres also a sign saying 190 sqm house for rent at the south end of Nanai on a patch of dirt about 200m back from the Karon Rd traffic lights.. I know of 2 very expensive places both swanky but niether a good deal.

Will keep my eyes open and ask about.. You ok to install ADSL if it has a phone line ??

I'm waiting to see when I need to be out by, so if I find a new place with a phone line then I don't mind some overlap on the rents.

Not having personally set it up before, how long does it take to get ADSL activated on a line?? presumably it's not a quick thing here...?

Mine took 10 days.. If the line and exhange is all set up then its installing a paired network card in the local exchange to sit on your number.. they say 2 weeks but TT&T had my buddies line up 2 days later.

All down to it having a dedicated line into the house with a not too screwed up cable system.

What kind of budget you thinking ?? Furnishd unfurnished or part ??

Budget-wise, for an apartment up to 15k for a nice one, but the ADSL is a must for me, cannot do without it for more than a day. Might be quite a restriction I know. Needs to be furnished also.

Fair play to Phil (helicam Asia) hes found a nice nieche there that pays very well... Fun profession, relaxed hours, and great money in Thailand. All from having a good idea no one else has done. Less investment required than a cheap beer bar on Nanai and a much more stable biz.

what a fcuk up...the message from the agent came through the missus (now ex!) and so obviously she told me the opposite to what he said. They actually wanted to know if I would like to renew, not kick me out.

Yeah, I'm not unhappy to be staying put. although I am rattling around a 2-bed house on my own these days, so may have to get a lodger, surely less grief than a gf!

I know you don't need anywhere now but someone else might. The SUNET CAFE on Phisitkoranee Road almost opposite Baan Boa 1 has rooms with ADSL. 9000 baht a month quoted me but no good now as I'm moving to Kathu.
