Le Meridien or Merlin Beach resort

Just booking our next visit ( couple ) , last time we stayed in the Le Meridien beach resort and wouldn't mind going there again but the travel agent also mentioned the Merlin beach resort ( near le Meridien not the merlin patong )

has anyone stayed here of have any thoughts on comparisons of the two ?

cheers

well, check out bann yin dee. its a 5 star boutique hotel. great for couples
i have stayed there 5 times. staff is execellent. have a very romatic type piano bar setting for dinner
its on the hill at the southern end of patong. they will drive you down in their nice mercedes and you just have to pay tuk tuk back up, about 5 minute car ride down
i dont think you could go wrong with this hotel as a couple
