Do you share a hotel room with a friend?

Or get a room each? I know this is a bit of an odd question but just wondering what most people do if you go out there with a mate? Be a lot easier when you want to bring a girl back if you have your own room, it's handy sharing a twim room though so you know when the other one is awake, ready to go out etc. What do people usually do? Cheers all.

I met 2 French guys who shared a room. IT was not their intention to bring back a girl as they were there to learn muay thai.... but after a few days, one of them changed opinion and the shared room thing became a little problem ... Better to find 2 cheap rooms than a nicer one IMOH

Dont even consider sharing a room. Your mate will probably be in next room to you anyway. Small price to pay for the extras at night.

In LOS you pay for the room, not the persons.
If you go charter you will pay for the persons and not for the room.

So the only reason for you to stay in the same room as your friend is that you think you save money, or you don't want to sleep alone.

The upside of sharing with a mate is, you both take your bgs. home, then you can do a swop half way through the night. Or have a 4 some if that's your bag.

When i went down last time i could have been sharing room with someone as i booked last minute, unspecified hotel. But i got a double room for myself for 22 days.

But no, i would NEVER share room. Sharing house, maybe. but not hotel room.

i wouldn't share a room... you can get good hotel-deals for a single room with a king-size bed.

If you dont want to proof your friendship take a single. Sharing a room is asking for trouble in most cases imho. There are enough rooms for each budjet, so there is no reason for it.

But if, Jim, you had to share the room with somebody, no one would have stopped you from moving to another room or hotel, and pay the extra.
I think you got that package deal for "nothing" and maybe you could afford to pay for your own room.
This "last minute package deal" is like getting the room for free.

The best part with charter is that the flight goes directly to Phuket, not Bangkok. The not so good part is that you probably need two or three days to recover your body after the 15 hours in a charter plane.
