advice accomm and best place to stay Krabi

I was just wondering if any of the learned colleagues could advise on acaommodation and best are to tay in Krabi during low season and wether or not it is too quiet many thanks

I was in Krabi last week, it was quiet as hell then so imagine low season it will be a ghost town. I stayed at Ao Nang, nice enough place but unless your into Scuba, Kayaking or snorkaling theres not a lot else to do. Drinks and food are more expensive than the likes of Patong etc too.
Lots of nice scenery about, but after a couple of days driving around it gets a bit samey.

I suppose it depends how long your going for and where your interests lie..1 week was more than enough for me, but then im not someone who can go on all the boat trips to other islands (which seemed to be the main activity there, Ao Nang, Krabi town more of a jumping off point to other spots), and im not someone to sit on a beach all day.
