Thanks for that but i probably wont waste any time on gaining 500 milies, i require 80,000 for a return to LOS so 500 wont make much difference, but every little helps i suppose.
could be good if your just a little short of what you need.

I dont know what the score is with airmiles...weather 500 is alot or not
i flew with dialaflight last time and you cant collect them with them as i call and checked...If you buy the times you may as well collect them as its better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick
would it be worth the extra £150 and collect the airmiles next time??

You have to check all the different programs, i am with KLM/AF and have about 60000 miles, i was flying with them every month and gaining about 6K per month until i moved locations, now i travel on a variety of airlines so my airmiles are not building up with any specific carrier.
with BA i think you collect 1,400,000,000 and you get a free pen
not too sure what you mean about the 150 pound thing though.

with BA i think you collect 1,400,000,000 and you get a free pen...LMAO

It does not matter who you book the flight through, just present your card at the checkin desk and they will add the miles, i reckon in your case just go for the cheaper flights all the time, you have to have a line somewhere, how much extra are you willing to pay to gain the airmiles?
And also the amount of miles on your card does not mean how many miles you can fly, as i said it costs 40,000 one way to LOS, which is not quite 40,000 miles away, i think the cheapest flight for miles i have seen was an internal for 7,500
